HAS THE MISSING LINK BEEN FOUND?
When it comes to wearing inspirations proudly on its adorable
sleeves, it’s clear which series this isometric action-adventure
is trying to emulate.
Garbed in a little green tunic and brandishing a sword and
shield, this indie’s heroic fox has a serious case of Link envy. Like
Nintendo’s elf-earedLegend Of Zeldafranchise,Tunicblocks
progression to areas until the furry hero collects a specific weapon
or ability. Puzzling, crunching combat and dungeon-crawling all
feature. The plot looks vague and hard to follow, though: after all,
the game’s cuddly characters speak unintelligible, animal
gibberish. Still, we’re eager to explore this foxy quest.Q

BELOVED GO-KART CAPER RETURNS TO ACTION
Considering the original Xbox launched years after the karting
genre’s peak, it’s no surprise Team Green’s consoles have never
been graced with a cutesy racer to match a certain portly
plumber’s power-sliding series.
Thankfully, that’s all set to change this June. Built from entirely
new assets, and featuring every character and course from the
original,CRTsees Crash, Doctor Neo Cortex, Tiny Tiger and Dingodile
all racing against and rocketing each other as they compete for
podium positions. This has our marsupial motors purring.Q

THIS COULD OLLIE UP A STORM
Aiming to recreate the underground culture of the late ‘90s
skate scene, this Kickstarter boarder is initially rolling out in
beta form courtesy of Xbox Game Preview.
Thanks to its dual-analogue controls, where each stick
represents one of your skater’s feet, comparisons with EA’s
belovedSkateseries are inevitable. But while both extreme
sports efforts share a love for grimy urban environments and
ultra-realism,Session’s unique balancing system and lack of
points scoring should separate it from the pack. When you’re
not worrying about chaining that Half Cab into a Slappy, the
focus is on capturing and sharing your best footage online
via the game’s Filmer Mode.Q
