ANALYSIS of THE SAMPLE TELEVISIoN SCRIPT
The sample illustrates how television scripts differ from dramatic scripts. Note, in
particular, these details:
- The script includes two distinct portions, a Video portion on the left and an
Audio portion on the right. - The Video column gives specific directions in accurate technical terms printed
uppercase. - The Audio column includes narration and dialogue—here in lowercase letters,
with speaker identification and directions in uppercase. - The camera shots provide variety for the viewer and, at the same time, enhance
the content and message of the audio portion.
