4 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY VOLLEYBALL

CHAMPIONSHIP

Braga, Portugal was the host city of the 4th European Univer-

sity Volleyball Championship organised from 21 to 26 Sep-

tember, 2004. 8 men and 9 women university teams from 9

European countries participated on the event organised by

the University of Minho and the Portuguese University Sports

Federation. The standard of the play was good, especially in

the final matches. The men’s finals finished very tight, after

the University of Zagreb defeated the University of Ljubljana

3:2. In the women’s finals, the title went to Poland after the

students from Gdansk defeated their colleagues from Munich

3:0.
