BEACH VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

In 2008, the European Universities Beach Volleyball Cham-
pionship was organised in Antalya, Turkey. The hosts, the
Turkish University Sports Federation in cooperation with the
Akdeniz University of Antalya and the Municipality of Co-
lakli, welcomed from June 18 to 21, 18 men and 16 women
universities teams from 15 European countries. The Cham-
pion’s Title went for the first time to Ukraine and Estonia,
after the Transcarpathian University of Uzhorod won in men
and Estonian Business School in women competition. Four
days of perfectly organised championship were a fantastic
example how huge vitality and potential the university sport
has. Beside the medals, cups and flowers, the medallists were
given by the Mayor of Colakli a special prize of 7-day holi-
days in Antalya. Medallists
