2 nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
11 men university teams from 10 countries met in Wroclaw,
Poland at the 2nd European University Football Champion-
ship in July 2004. The teams were received by the organisers
of the event, the Academic Sports Association of Wroclaw
and the Academy of Physical Education of Wroclaw. On the
pitches of the beautifully situated sports centre of the Acad-
emy of Physical Education, the rivalry was very balanced. The
final match was played at the GEM Stadium and was viewed
by many spectators. After a ravishing game, the University of
Besançon won against the Technological Institute of Athens
3:0, proving their ability to reach for their first European
University Championship.
