3 rd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 3rd European University Football Championship took

place from July 11 to 17, 2005 in one of the oldest cities

in the Balkans - the City of Niš. Eight university teams came

to Serbia and Montenegro to play at the tournament organ-

ised by the University Sports Federation of Niš in cooperation

with the University Sports Federation of Serbia and Monte-

negro. The matches were played on four different stadiums

and on a very good level. In the interesting finals the Uni-

versity of Caen defeated the Aigaleo Athens Technological

Institute 3:1; after the extra time had to be played, as in the

regular time the match finished 1:1.
