crewoffrostgiantshascometoChultseekingtheRingof
WinterandanexpeditionofRedWizardsishuntingforthe

blackhair,andarichculture.Drivenoutofthejungleby
monstersandundead,theytookrefugebehindthestoutwalls
ofPortNyanzaru,gaveuptheirdynasties,andunitedto
becomeamercantilepowerinthesouthernocean,eagertodo
businesswithanyonewhovisitstheirperilousland.Afew
Chultansmigratednorthwardandestablishedoutpostsin
distantcitiessuchasAthkatla,Baldur’sGate,Calimport,
Memnon,andZazesspur.
Thelinesofkingsandqueensthatonceheldpoliticalsway
throughoutChulthavebeenmostlywipedoutbytime,war,
calamity,andmisfortune.They’vebeenreplacedbyChultan
merchantprinceswholearnedtheartandcraftoftrading
fromAmnianandTethyrianprofiteers,andwhonowusetheir
wealthtoforgeprofitablealliancesandtosteerthefateof
theirfrontierrealm.
Chultansdressinlight,colorfulclothingappropriatefor
thetropicalclimate.Theytradeingold,gemstones,jewelry,
textiles,spices,rareherbs,ivory,wood,unrefinedmetalore,
andothercommoditiespluckedandplunderedfromthe
