  1. (D) The false consensus effect is the tendency of people to overestimate the number of people who
    share their views. Deindividuation is a loss of self-restraint under conditions of anonymity and
    arousal. The just-world bias is people’s belief that good things happen to good people, and bad
    things happen to bad people. Norms of reciprocity is the idea that we feel obligated to treat others
    as they have treated us. Outgroup bias refers to the negative attitudes people often have toward
    people who do not belong to the same groups that they do.
