  1. (D) In a normal distribution, the mean, median, and mode are equal. Ninety-five percent of the
    scores fall within two standard deviations of the mean. The normal curve is asymptotic, which
    means it never hits the axis so we cannot say that everyone falls within any number of standard
    deviations from the mean. The standard deviation can be less than or more than 1; it depends upon
    what is being measured.
