Common difference (p. 275) The difference between
consecutive terms of an arithm etic sequence.

Common ratio (p. 467) The fixed num ber used to find

Complement of an event (p. 770) All possible outcomes
that are not in the event.
P(complement of event) = 1 -P(event)

Complemento de un suceso (p. 770) Todos los

Completing the square (p. 576) A method of solving
quadratic equations. Completing the square turns every
quadratic equation into the form x1 = c.
