Merregons have no individu-
ality, and hence no need for faces. Every merregon le-gionnaire has a metal mask bolted to its he ad. Markingson the mask indicate the only elements of the wearer'sidentity that matter : its com mander and the layer of theNine Hells it serves.Fearless Obedience. Becaus e of their unshakableloyalty, merregons form the backbone of many devils'protective retinues. They shrink from no task, no matterhow dangerous.
