Drow shadowblades steal down the darkened passagesof the Underdark, bound on errands of mayhem. Ruth-less killers, shadowblades find employment with a noblehouse, usually involving the elimination of a rival inanother house. Shadowblades also protect enclaves andUnderd ark cities from enemies and track down thieveswho ma ke off with prized treasures. In whatever rolethey serve, they move undetected until the mome nt theyattack. And then they are the last thing their victims see.A shadowblade harnesses a dark magic that is saidto arise from a fiendish ritual in which the drow kills alesser demon and mystically prevents it from reformingin the Abyss.
