by keeping the tires down on the road and preventing them from bouncing
after hitting a bump. Without the shock absorbers or struts, your car or truck
would ride like a bucking bronco.
Springs support the vehicle’s weight and absorb road shock. There are three
designs: coil, bowed leaf (flat), and torsion bar (twisted spring steel rod).
