ALTERNATOR
The alternator keeps the battery charged and ready to meet the electrical needs of
the vehicle. It is designed to maintain smooth, stable electrical voltage and
amperage when the vehicle is running regardless of what electrical load is placed
upon it. The alternator is driven by a belt, which is driven by the engine.
