Tom,

Q I own a 1990 Olds Cutlass Supreme. The left turn signal doesn’t work, so

I bought the flasher, but I can’t find where to put it.

Chris,

A Check the bulbs first. When one side doesn’t work it’s usually due to a

burned-out bulb, a bad ground in the socket, or a poor power connection to
the socket. Living in Maine you get a lot of snow. The salt and liquid brine
used by the road crews get up under the car, mix with water, and cause
corrosion of the light sockets that are exposed to the elements. As for the
flasher location? It’s hard to say where it is, because carmakers hide them
everywhere under the dash. Consult an electrical component locator in a
professional grade service manual for your car. It will give you the
approximate location. I wish you the best.
