over package mode of ordering. After detailed discussion
and analysis, looking to the benefits of EP mode in terms
of cost, early engineering inputs, deliveries, and single point
contact, management was given the clearance for EP mode.
Now the modus operandi shifted to awarding of main
EP package; there were several discussions held with EP
vendors namely FLSmidth, KHD, TKIL, and LNVT.
It was August 2018; the monsoon was going to come
down slowly in the eastern region. Groundwork had to be
started just after monsoon for getting a long period benefit
for civil works. In this regard, it was very necessary for us
to award the EP package at the earliest to get the benefit
of it and Dalmia management had taken final decision to
close the deal with FLSmidth on 29 August 2018, awarded
them the main EP package, and made them a technological
partner for Project Pride.
