I used this setup to get my
image Threading The Needle,
which sees a Thai man making
his way precariously through
the narrow alleys of a market
on his motorbike!
I had already dialed in my
settings, so that was one less
thing to worry about, and
ÀUHGRIIDVHULHVRIFDQGLG
shots to get it.
We explored Bangkok by
foot, train and tuk tuk (and a
wild late night taxi ride that
put our translation skills to the
test). Spending an afternoon
DWWKHPDJQLÀFHQW:DW3KR
temple, I stumbled upon a line
of golden buddhas and single
onyx one at the end. Nobody
else was there. Just me, my
camera and these iconic
statues that represented a
bucket list shot. The girls
eventually found me and
dragged me back to reality.
Striking out from the bustle
of Bangkok, we hopped down
to Thailand’s largest island,
Phuket, for some rest and
relaxation. Midway through
our stay, we ventured off the
resort to explore Phang Nga
Bay aboard the Andaman
Passion. The serenity and
beauty of the bay was a stark
contrast to the sensory
barrage of Bangkok.
There was a daily onslaught of vibrant
sights, sounds and smells – it was a sensory
overload in the very best way!
