Quilting Arts - USA (2021 - Spring)

(Antfer) #1
I set up three distinct work areas in my studio: one for
pressing and fusing, one for cutting and painting, and one
for sewing that includes tables for my Bernina 770QE and
440QE.
Before we moved in, we replaced the carpet with
‘luxury vinyl plank fl ooring,’ which looks like wood but
is extremely low maintenance. It’s been a great choice
for me, since I make lots of messes with paint; the vinyl
cleans up easily!
As you can see, my environment is eclectic. I love
antique and vintage items, and have a hard time getting
rid of things with sentimental value, so my space is a bit
of a mish-mash! I like to have visually interesting and
colorful things around me that inspire me. I’m pretty
organized, but I am defi nitely not a minimalist!
You could say the best thing about this space is the
view. One whole wall is glass windows and doors with a
gorgeous view into woods (it’s like living in a treehouse,
and deer and other wildlife often wander by).
