“I am so fortunate to have this wild iris growing in the wooded part of my land; it's rather rare to fi nd. I
wanted to make it bloom forever in fabric art. Th e fi rst part of this quilt was intuitive ... grabbing bits and
pieces of green fabrics from my stash to make a border, then a band, then a background. Th en I cut plain
colored fabric, peach and green, and used thread for the light and dark details of the bloom itself. Th at was
a bit more studied. But this bloom will last forever!”“I i F l i ”
