 5-The method of working

This research paper is done from the guiding of our supervisor professor with his

advices and instructions, which are very helpful that give it to me the solutions, of how to

work on it. In addition, it is clarify and explain to me the ways and the steps that I should

follow. Therefore, I done this paper through several steps, which divided in two stages:

1- The first stage’s step, I started with the video which, I chose from the website that

provided by the professor. The selection of the topic of video came through my

convictions, a topic that made me interested in. Its deals with the subject about the

emotion that lead to deception. The mean task about the video is the translation and

subtitled in Arabic. The first step I started with was watching the video, in order to

understand it, to interpret it, and also to analyse its content. Next, I moved to the

subtitling, which requires software to deal with it. At the beginning, I had some

troubles with the software that I used to working on it. It took from me hours just to

understand the way to handle it. Moreover, in the beginning the progress of the

translation was very slow. However, the task of translating and subtitling the video I

complete it with the use of some dictionaries digital and Online dictionaries, both

Arabic and English ones, such as, “Oxford Dictionaries, Merriam Webster”, and “Al-

Maany” this process done in a week. The next step’s task, which is also related to the

video, was the dialogue of it written in Arabic and in English, and the phonetically

transcription (first three minutes). The process of the writing the dialogue, I used the

Arabic subtitling data that I just organize and wrote it in WORD OFFICE file as a

written dialogue. In the other hand, for The English dialogue. I was writing while I am

watching the video, using handwriting. It was a little difficult because it took long time

to finish, it and then to type it in digital format. After, I moved to the phonetic

transcription of the first 2 minutes, Basically, it was difficult task. Because, I was

supposed to wrote it based on the English accent of the video, which is the American

English. In the following step, I deal with the GSL (General Service List), which is a

list composed with more than 5000 words total in English. I translated in Arabic and

put in a list. The mean issue and difficult that I had within this task, was to sort it in an
