Shopping for the Perfect 10 Diet, Stage One
Before you start Stage One of the Perfect 10 Diet, I want you to have all the right
food choices at your fingertips. Go to the supermarket and shop in a new way. I
love Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, and that’s where you should go. Costco is
great, too. It has a wide variety of organic food at reasonable prices. Don’t live in
the city? Go to your local farmer’s market— you may find pasture-fed chicken
and raw milk.
How much food should you buy? For each day, buy at least five to nine
servings of fruits and vegetables. One serving is a cup. One banana, a mango,
and an apple count as two servings. Have enough eggs and other rich protein
sources to meet your daily protein requirements. If you’re shopping for a week,
buy a dozen eggs, a pound or two of shrimp, two pieces of wild salmon, and one
whole chicken. Always have nuts, organic milk, unsalted butter, olive oil, and
cheese handy. Now you’re ready to begin the transformation and the extreme
makeover of your hormones, body, and health.
