No. Corn and cottonseed oil do not contain any trans fats from the
extraction process unless they are hydrogenated. However, both
contain chemicals from the refinement process and excess omega-6
fatty acids, and both are unsafe to use at high temperatures. Soybean
oil contains trans fats in varying degrees (from 10 to 50 percent),
even without hydrogenation. Avoid it.
Is the Perfect 10 Diet safe for overweight children?
Absolutely. The Perfect 10 Diet is optimal for overweight children,
except when it comes to seafood (because of mercury). All children
need to include more fat in their diets, especially saturated fats for
their developing brains.
