- Transitional surface
A surface extending outward and upward, at right angles to the runway centerline and the
runway centerline extended, at a slope of 7H to 1V from the sides of the Primary Surface
and the Approach Surfaces. The width of the transitional surface provided from each edge
of the approach surface is 5000 ft.

5. Conical surface
The conical surface is a surface extending outward and upward from the periphery of the
horizontal surface for a horizontal distance of 4,000 ft. The slope of the conical surface is
20 - 1 (5 percent) measured in a vertical plane.
