regular beaters will work fine. Beat on medium for 5 minutes. Scrape the
sides of the bowl with the rubber spatula. Pierce the vitamin E capsules
and squeeze the liquid out into the melted oil, discarding the gel caps.
Add the essential oils, if desired, and stir well. If the mixture is still quite
liquid, place in the freezer for 5 minutes. Mix for another 5 minutes.
Repeat the 5 minutes in the freezer, 5 minutes mixing process until you
have a fluffy, smooth, buttery texture. Spoon into your jars and let stand
undisturbed for an hour.
- To Store: Label and store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
This butter will melt if left in the sun. It will still be useable, but the nice
fluffy quality from the whipping will be gone. It will revert to a solid
butter balm type consistency. Use within a year.
- To Use: To use, remove a small amount from the jar and melt between
your fingertips and spread onto dry skin.
