Chia seeds: These are a nutrient-dense, protein-rich superfood that contains
calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, molybdenum,
niacin, zinc, and the trace mineral boron. Chia seeds are comprised of over 60
percent essential fatty acids and are the best known plant source for omega-3
fatty acids. Topically applied, chia seeds moisturize, calming the skin to soothe
redness.

Chickpea flour: A common ingredient used in traditional Indian skin care as an
exfoliant. Chickpea flour is known to be rejuvenating for dull, lifeless skin, to
soak up oil on the skin’s surface, to help unclog pores, and to clear up acne.

Cinnamon: Rich in antioxidants, cinnamon is a wonderful skincare ingredient
with both anti-aging and anti-acne benefits. Research indicates that cinnamon
improves collagen production in skin cells. Increased collagen helps reduce
visible signs of aging. Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, cinnamon fights
acne by drying out the affected area and bringing blood and oxygen to the
surface to open and unclog pores.

Cocoa butter: Cocoa butter is the solid fat expressed from the roasted seed of
the cocoa seed. Cocoa butter is a soothing, antioxidant-rich emollient that has
been used in skin care for centuries to heal and moisturize skin that has been
exposed to the elements. High in vitamin E, it helps reduce the formation of
stretch marks and scars by keeping the skin soft and supple. Cocoa butter has a
shelf life of 2 to 5 years.

Cocoa powder: Cocoa is richer in antioxidants than red wine or green tea, and it
gives your skin an extra boost of protection against free radicals. It is beneficial
for all skin types, especially overexposed, sun-damaged, and maturing skin.
Cocoa powder has rich mineral content, including calcium, potassium, and zinc
along with skin-firming caffeine and theobromine.
