1 Come into a squatting position. Place the palms of the hands shoulder distance on
the floor, lift the hips up high, and bring the knees as high up the back of the arms as
you can, toward the armpits. Round the upper back slightly, gaze forward, and let the
heart follow the gaze. Looking forward will help keep you from falling over! Keep the
toes on the mat and start shifting more and more weight forward. When the toes start
feeling light, bring one heel in toward the sit bone.
