Tribe*

A tribe is a combination of several Squads in order to achieve a larger overall goal (e.g.

development of a product).

A Tribe ...

− is responsible for an overarching objective/assignment

− coordinates the activities of several Squads

− is responsible that the created parts of the Squads fit together and satisfy the customer's

needs.

− for example can be responsible for contract management and business development

A Tribe-Leader ...

• defines visions and goals for a Tribe


• leads the squad leaders of his tribe technically


• is responsible for the Tribe key figures and the Tribe budget


• can also be a member of a squad
