لا
َ
ا جً ۦٓ و

َ

ةرَ
ْ
ه
َ
زمْ
ُ
هنْ
ِّ
وٰ ةِ م
َ
حَ ي
ْ
ا ٱ ل
َ
ي
ْ
ن
ُّ
ٱلد
ُ
ق
ْ
ز
ِ
ر
َ
و ۚ يهِ فِ مْ
ُ
هَنِت
ْ
فَنِل
ٰ
ى
َ
قبْ
َ
أ
َ
و رٌ
ْ
ي
َ
كَ خ
ِّ
برَ
131 And do not extend your glancetowards what We have given someclasses of them to enjoy—thesplendor of the life of this world—that We may test them thereby. YourLord’s provision is better, and morelasting.١٣٢

ْ
وٰ ةِ أوَ
َ
رْ وَ لٱ ل ص َّ
ِ
ب
َ
طٱصْ
َ
ا ۖ لا
َ
ه

َ
عَل
و ۗ َكَ
ُ
ق
ُ
زرْ
َ
ن
ُ
نحْ
َّ
ن ۖ ا
ً
ق
ْ
ز
ِ
ر َك
ُ
ل
َٔ
ـ
ْ
س
َ
ن
ُ
ة
َ
بقِ
ٰ
عَ
ْ
ٱل
ٰ
ىوَ
ْ
ق
َّ
لتِل
132 And exhort your people to pray,and patiently adhere to it. We ask ofyou no sustenance, but it is We whosustain you. The good ending is thatfor righteousness.هِ ١٣٣

حٱلص ُّ
ٰ
ى

ول
ُ
ْ
ٱلأ
133 And they say, “Why does he notbring us a miracle from his Lord?”Were they not given enoughmiracles in the former scriptures?١٣٤

ولاسُ ا رَ

إتَ
ْ

سرْ
َ

لاوْ

ا ل

نب َّرَ
ٰ

ز

خ
َ
ن وَ
َّ
لذِ
َّ
ن ن

أ

ل

ق
134 Had We destroyed them with apunishment before him, they wouldhave said, “Our Lord, if only You hadsent us a messenger, we wouldhave followed Your revelationsbefore we were humiliated anddisgraced.”١٣٥

َ
لعْتَ
َ
س
َ
ف ۖ
۟
واصُ َّبرَتَ
َ
فصٌ
ِّ
برَتَ م ُّ
ٌّ
ل
ُ
ك
ْ
ل
ُ
ق
ُب
ٰ
حَصْ
َ
طِ أ
ٰ
رَ
ِّ
ٱلص
ِّ
ى
ِ
و
َّ
ٱلس
ِ
نمَ
َ
و
ٰ
ىَدتَ
ْ
ٱه
135 Say, “Everybody is waiting, sowait. You will know who the peopleof the straight path are, and who isrightly-guided.ِم
ْ
س
ِ
هِ ب
َّ
ٱلل
ِ
ن
ٰ
ي مِ حِ ٱ ل ر َّ مَحْٱلر َّ
In the name of Allah, the Gracious,the Merciful.بَ رَ ١

1 Mankind’s reckoning has drawnnear, but they turn away heedlessly.٢

ك
ِ
ن ذ

هوَ
2 No fresh reminder comes to themfrom their Lord, but they listen to itplayfully.
