البقرة 2 The Heifer

dwellers of the Fire, wherein they will

abide forever.

لا

276 Allah condemns usury, and He

blesses charities. Allah does not

love any sinful ingrate.

أوَ

لٱ ل ص َّ

ا تءَ وَ

َ

وٰ ة

َّ

مْ ٱ ل ز

يَحمْ

لا وَ مْ

ه

ْ

ي

َ

عَل

فوْ

َ

لا وَ مْ

ِ

ه

ِّ

ب رَ

َ

ند

ِ

ع

277 Those who believe, and do good

deeds, and pray regularly, and give

charity—they will have their reward

with their Lord; they will have no

fear, nor shall they grieve.

ِ

ذ

ٱل

ُ

نامَ ءَ

ُ

ق

ٱت

ا مَ ٱلل

ر

َ

ذوَ

َ

ن مِ

َ

ىبَقِ

ِّ

ٱلر

۟

ا

ٓ

ب َ وٰ

َ

ينِنمِ

ْ

ؤم م ُّ

ُ

نت

ُ

ن ك

ِ

إ

278 O you who believe! Fear Allah,

and forgo what remains of usury, if

you are believers.

٢٧٩

ْ

أ

َ

ف

۟

ُ

ْ

ف

ن ل

ۖ ۦ هِولِ سُرَوَ

َ

لامْ

ُ

كِل

ٰ

وَمْ

َ

أوسُ

ُ

ء

ُ

رمْ

ُ

ك

َ

ل

َ

فمْ

ُ

ت

ْ

ب

ُ

ن ت

ِ

إ وَ

َ

ونمُ

َ

ل

ْ

ظ

ُ

ت

َ

لا وَ

َ

ونمُلِ

ْ

ظ

َ

ت

279 If you do not, then take notice of a

war by Allah and His Messenger.

But if you repent, you may keep your

capital, neither wronging, nor being

wronged.

ى

ل

ةٍ فرَ

لعْ

إ ۖ مْ

لرٌ

ي

خ

وا

دصَ

َ

ن ت

َ

أوَ

280 But if he is in hardship, then

deferment until a time of ease. But to

remit it as charity is better for you, if

you only knew.

وَ ٢٨١

ُ

ق

َّ

ى ٱت

َ

ل

ِ

إيهِ فِ

َ

ون

ُ

جَ عرْ

ُ

هِ مً ا تيَوْ

َّ

م َّ ۖ ٱلل

ُ

ث

َ

ون

ظ

ُ

ي

َ

لامْ

ُ

ه وَ

ْ

ت

َ

ب

َ

س

َ

ا ك م َّ سٍ

ْ

ف

َ

ن

ُّ

ل

ُ

ك

ى

فوَ

ُ

ت

281 And guard yourselves against a

Day when you will be returned to

Allah; then each soul will be

rewarded fully for what it has

earned, and they will not be

wronged.

كِجَ ال

نيْيدَ

ِ

ه

ن ش

لجُ ا رَ

َ

ون

ُ

يَ كمْ

َّ

ل

282 O you who believe! When you

incur debt among yourselves for a

certain period of time, write it down.

And have a scribe write in your

presence, in all fairness. And let no

scribe refuse to write, as Allah has

taught him. So let him write, and let

the debtor dictate. And let him fear

Allah, his Lord, and diminish nothing

from it. But if the debtor is mentally

deficient, or weak, or unable to

dictate, then let his guardian dictate

with honesty. And call to witness two
