184 If they accuse you of lying,messengers before you wereaccused of lying. They came withthe proofs, and the Psalms, and theIlluminating Scripture.١٨٥

تَمَ

ٱل
185 Every soul will have a taste ofdeath, and you will receive yourrecompense on the Day ofResurrection. Whoever is swayedfrom the Fire, and admitted toParadise, has won. The life of thisworld is merely enjoyment ofdelusion.١٨٦

ورمُ

ٱلأ
186 You will be tested through yourpossessions and your persons; andyou will hear from those whoreceived the Scripture before you,and from the idol worshipers, muchabuse. But if you persevere and leada righteous life—that indeed is amark of great determination.١٨٧

187 Allah received a pledge fromthose who were given the Scripture:“You shall proclaim it to the people,and not conceal it.” But theydisregarded it behind their backs,and exchanged it for a small price.What a miserable exchange theymade.١٨٨

188 Do not think that those whorejoice in what they have done, andlove to be praised for what they havenot done—do not think they canevade the punishment. They willhave a painful punishment.
