who think that somehow, God does not care about sin, but will receive us in
heaven as long as we are going to church and doing religious works; salvation is
not about religion, it’s about faith and obedience and fellowship with God.
That said, as long as it is called today, anyone, even a hypocrite, can turn back to
God if they are still in this life. If we genuinely and sincerely call out to Jesus, He
will forgive us, make us His children and will not remember our sins anymore.
Let us all strive not to die in our sins, outside the family of God, for after death
there is only judgement, not repentance.
And so the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:1- 2 , ‘As God's fellow workers we urge you not
to receive God's grace in vain. For he says, "In the time of my favour I heard you, and in
the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favour, now is the
day of salvation.’
The story of the Prodigal son demonstrates perfectly the truths we have evaluated
above. Let us explore in more specifics the case of sonship from this parable told
by Jesus Himself.
