Client-Side Requirements
There are two main requirements on the client-side: A browser and the Silverlight version.
Power View is supported by Silverlight 5 and above in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari.
Table 59-1 lists the browser versions supported by Power View.

Power View does not support the InPrivate browser feature of Internet Explorer.
Creating and Deploying Reports with Power View
You can launch Power View from a data source containing a BI Semantic Model published to
SharePoint 2010. There are fi ve options to launch Power View:
- Directly from a PowerPivot workbook (.xlsx fi le) in PowerPivot Gallery
- From a Report Data Source (.rsds fi le) pointing to a PowerPivot workbook
- From a Report Data Source (.rsds fi le) pointing to an Analysis Services Tabular
database - From a BI Semantic Model connection (.bism fi le) pointing to a PowerPivot
workbook - From a BI Semantic Model connection (.bism fi le) pointing to an Analysis Services
