Mike McCue
CEO, chairman and cofounder, formerly vice
president of technology at Netscape, Mike
McCue played a leading role in establishing
product, technology, and business strategy for
the company’s client, portal, and server
businesses. Prior to Netscape, McCue was
founder and CEO of Paper Software, which won
nearly 80% market share in 3-D Internet software
from competitors SGI and Microsoft. Netscape
acquired Paper Software in February 1996.
McCue left Netscape to cofound Tellme Networks
in January 1999. At Tellme, he is responsible for
the overall leadership and direction of the
company.
Angus Davis
Director of production and cofounder. Formerly
communicator product manager at Netscape,
Davis was responsible for Netscape’s next-
generation browser technology. He coauthored
“Netservices,” a plan to transform Netscape from
a software company to a services company, and
worked on early strategy planning for Netcenter,
the portal Web site. Having joined Netscape in
1996 when he was only 18, Davis was for some
time the company’s youngest employee. At
Tellme, Davis helps develop corporate business
strategies and strategic partnerships, and guide
the future direction of the company.
Hadi Partovi
Vice president of production, board member.
Formerly the group program manager for
Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Partovi had broad
responsibility for product strategy, design, and
project management on the Internet Explorer
team, where he helped direct four major releases
of the browser software. Partovi left Microsoft to
join his former arch-enemies from Netscape as
part of Tellme Network’s founding management
team. At Tellme, he is responsible for delivering
the consumer service that will bring the power
of the Web to the telephone network. Partovi
graduated from Harvard University with M.S. and
B.A. degrees in Computer Science.
John Giannandrea
Vice president of platform development, CTO,
EXHIBIT 1 Tellme Management Team 2000
and board member. Formerly chief technolo-
gist and principal engineer in the browser group
at Netscape/AOL. Giannandrea led the develop-
ment of many important Web browser technolo-
gies and contributed to many of today’s Web stan-
dards and protocols. At Netscape, Giannandrea
was involved with every release of the Navigator
product, from the first beta of 1.0 through 4.5.
Prior to Netscape, he worked on the Telescript
and MagicCap technologies at General Magic.
As vice president of platform development and
chief technology officer at Tellme, Giannandrea
is responsible for all technical aspects of Tellme’s
service offerings.
Charles Moldow
Senior vice president of business development
and sales. Prior to joining Tellme, Moldow was
general manager of MatchLogic, Excite@Home’s
digital marketing technologies and solutions
company. Before the merger with Excite in
January 1999, he was vice president of @Media
Sales and Marketing. Previously, Moldow was
vice president of business development for
@Home Network, where he managed all facets
of the company’s development and deal efforts.
Before joining @Home Network, Moldow worked
at TCI, founded two companies in the marketing/
publishing industries, and spent four years at
Merrill Lynch in the mergers and acquisitions
practice.
Andrew Volkmann
Vice president of finance and administration.
Volkmann comes to Tellme from Netscape, where
he spent 3.5 years in various financial roles. As
the senior director of finance, he was responsible
for the financial planning and analysis for
Netscape’s Netcenter division. Prior to the
Netcenter position, Volkmann served as the
director of finance for Netscape’s enterprise
software research, development, and marketing
groups. Prior to Netscape, he served as a product
line finance manager at National Semiconductor
and as worldwide planning manager at Hitachi.
At Tellme, Volkmann is responsible for all general
and administrative functions.
