Jim Barksdale, Board Adviser
Barksdale is managing partner at The Barksdale
Group, a full-service investment advisory firm he
founded in April 1999. Before that, Barksdale was
president and CEO of Netscape Communi-
cations.
Peter Currie, Board Member
Currie is a partner at The Barksdale Group.
Before that, he served as executive vice
president and chief administrative officer of
Netscape Communications. From April 1989 to
April 1995, Currie held various management
positions at McCaw Cellular Communications.
John Doerr, Board Adviser
Doerr is currently a partner at venture capital
firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, where he
has sponsored a series of investments (Compaq,
Cypress, Intuit, Macromedia, Lotus, Netscape,
Sun Microsystems, and Symantec) that led to
the creation of over 30,000 jobs.
Kevin Harvey, Board Member
Prior to founding Benchmark Capital in 1995,
Harvey started two successful software
companies: Styleware, which pioneered
integrated software for the Apple II personal
computer and was ultimately purchased by Claris
Corp., and Approach Software, the first easy-to-
use client/server database for Windows.
Approach was acquired by Lotus Development
in 1993.
Mike Homer, Board Adviser
Homer is currently a senior vice president at
America Online. Prior to Netscape’s acquisition
by AOL, Homer held various executive positions
at Netscape Communications, including exec-

Netscape Netcenter.
Chip Pitts, Board Adviser
Pitts formerly worked at Nokia, where he
negotiated key transactions and disputes, and
also helped develop and implement Nokia’s
Internet strategy. Prior to Nokia, Pitts was a
partner at Baker & McKenzie, the world’s largest
law firm, where he assisted many businesses in
protecting and exploiting their intellectual
property globally.
Brad Silverberg, Board Member
Silverberg is currently a founding member of the
venture-holding firm Ignition, investing in wireless
and other technology start-ups. He was formerly
a senior vice president at Microsoft, where he
served as a member of Microsoft’s nine-person
executive committee, its top decision-making
body. Silverberg ran the Windows business from
1990 to 1995, and then directed Microsoft’s
Internet turnaround.
Jaleh Bisharat, Board Adviser
Bisharat was most recently vice president of
marketing for Amazon.com. At Amazon.com, she
oversaw customer acquisition and retention,
brand marketing, public relations, market
intelligence, and the customer experience group.
Scott Bedbury, Board Adviser
Bedbury has established himself as one of the
world’s most successful brand architects, helping
Nike make “Just Do It” part of the global lexicon
and fueling Starbucks’ drive to reinvent a 900-
year-old commodity. Bedbury directed Nike’s
worldwide advertising efforts from 1987 to 1994
and later served as Starbuck’s chief marketing
officer.
