reincarnation as the infant stage of humanity,

full of infantile ailments, we should utterly

exaggerateitsrelativeimportance. Verily"our

light affliction, which is but for a moment,

workethforusafarmoreexceedingandeternal

weightof glory." Thereforewhen the storm-

cloudsgather,lookbeyondthemtothechange-

lesssky; whenthe billowsbuffet,lift the eyes

tothe eternalshore. Letearth andhell pour

forth their angriest forces to overwhelm, they

shall only lift us upwards, bear us onwards.

Forweare unborn,undying,constant,change-

lessandeternal,andwe are hereonlytoforge

the instruments for an immortal service, the

servicewhichisperfectfreedom.
