physical necessity. They have thought that
theycouldsowoneseedandreapanother,when
theyweresowingvirtueandviceinsteadof the
mere cornoroats. Andtheyhave wondered
andtheyhave not understoodwheneach seed
isripened afterits own nature,and the moral
seedhasripenedaccording tolaw,and givena
corrupt societyand degraded humanity and a
soulstupefiedanddruggedbysense.
