Provincia austral del Ecuador que es dueña de una diversidad
natural y cultural que le posiciona como una de las provincias
de mayor atractivo a nivel nacional e internacional. Su ubicación
geográfica le permite disponer de variados pisos climáticos en sus
15 cantones que han crecido y se han desarrollado en cuencas
hidrográficas de los ríos Cuenca, Jubones y Paute. Esta es una
provincia que posee una gran variedad y riqueza agroproductiva,

hermoso valle) se encuentra la playa del río Santa Bárbara, con
sus trapiches y hermosas artesanías famosas por la cestería y las
chompas tejidas en lana. El centro histórico, los mercados, las
plazas, los parques, los viveros, miradores, puentes y el antiguo
acueducto son varios de los lugares turísticos más importantes.A pocos minutos de Gualaceo el turista puede disfrutar de grandes
áreas de bosque y vegetación protectora como el Collay y el
Aguarongo, el Parque Nacional Cajas y su complejo lacustre, Baños.Los turistas también pueden conocer el Cantón Pucará, uno de
los más antiguos de esta hermosa provincia y en donde se realiza,
en el mes de octubre, la fiesta en honor a la Virgen del Rosario,
celebración en la que se fusionan las tradiciones locales con la
música, las danzas y la pirotecnia.La variedad gastronómica también es un atractivo de esta hermosa
provincia. Los turistas pueden saborear los más deliciosos platillos
de la cocina tradicional: el cuy asado, los tamales, el chancho
