Una de las tradiciones más atractivas, especialmente en Salitre, es
el Rodeo Montubio que es practicado desde tiempos ancestrales.
Hoy, como antaño, es un espectáculo de colorido y habilidad. El
montubio tiene que mostrar sus destrezas en la monta, doma y
caracoleo de chúcaros y briosos ejemplares vacunos y caballares.
No se pierda el Turismo de Hacienda. Ahí podrá usted dormir en
una casa de hacienda, asistir al ordeño tempranero o a bellas
cabalgatas; quizá pueda cosechar productos de huertos orgánicos
o participar de fascinantes faenas rurales como la elaboración
de humus, los recorridos por rutas ecológicas, la preparación de
confituras y licores, etc.
Guayas tiene una geografía única: es serrana en Bucay y oceánica
en Playas. Tiene ríos, mar, valles, costas y cordilleras. Aunque
tierra adentro es agrícola y pecuaria, también es comerciante,
agroindustrial y portuaria.
