Variations



  • In case of chest pain add: Yu Jin Tuber Curcumae and Chuan Xiong Radix Ligustici
    wallichii.

  • In case of pronounced chilliness add: Fu Zi Radix Aconiti carmichaeli praeparata.

Explanation


This formula can be used to tonify and warm Heart-Yang. It also tonifies Kidney-Yang.


The tongue presentation appropriate to this remedy is a Pale, Swollen and wet body.


Spleen-Yang Deficiency


Clinical Manifestations


Tiredness, muscular weakness, sallow complexion, poor appetite, feeling of cold, cold limbs,
dislike of speaking, loose stools, slight abdominal pain.


Tongue: Pale, teeth marks, Swollen.


Pulse: Weak, especially in the right Middle position.


This pattern is basically the same as Spleen-Qi deficiency with the addition of cold symptoms,
