Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate, while prostatic hypertrophy consists in enlargement
of the prostate gland. However, there are similarities between these two conditions as the
inflamed prostate is also swollen.
The main manifestations are difficulty in urination, weak-stream, hypogastric distension and
pain on urination.
In Chinese medicine this condition may correspond to Qi, Cloudy or Fatigue Painful-Urination
Syndrome.
Urinary Calculi

The main manifestations are haematuria and dysuria due to secondary involvement of the
bladder. Blood Painful-Urination Syndrome would be a typical manifestation of TB of the
