Lemnae seu Spirodelae and Bai Zhi Radix Angelicae dahuricae, and some herbs which
fragrantly resolve Dampness, such as Cang Zhu Rhizoma Atractylodis lanceae, Da Fu Pi
Pericarpium Arecae catechu and Hou Po Cortex Magnoliae officinalis.
To treat oedema of the lower part of the body use herbs which promote diuresis, such as Fu Ling
Sclerotium Poriae cocos, Zhu Ling Sclerotium Polypori umbellati, Ze Xie Rhizoma Alismatis
orientalis and Yi Yi Ren Semen Coicis lachryma jobi.
In Yin oedema from Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency, one uses herbs which tonify Yang and
move fluids, such as Fu Zi Radix Aconiti carmichaeli praeparata, Rou Gui Cortex Cinnamomi
cassiae or Gui Zhi Ramulus Cinnamomi cassiae.
