Clinical Manifestations


Oedema of any part of the body, sores, carbuncles or furuncles.


Tongue: Red with a sticky-yellow coating.


Pulse: Slippery and Rapid.


Treatment Principle


Tonify Lungs and Spleen, drain Dampness, clear Heat and resolve Fire-Poison.

Ren-12 Zhongwan, BL-20 Pishu, Ren-9 Shuifen, ST-28 Shuidao, BL-22 Sanjiaoshu, SP-9
Yinlinquan, LU-7 Lieque, BL-13 Feishu, L.I.-11 Quchi. Reducing method except on Ren-12,
BL-20 and BL-13 which should be reinforced. No moxa.


Explanation



  • Ren-12 and BL-20 tonify the Spleen to resolve Dampness and oedema.

  • Ren-9, ST-28 and BL-22 promote the transformation of fluids and resolve oedema.

  • SP-9 resolves Dampness.

  • LU-7 stimulates the Lung's dispersing of fluids.

  • BL-13 tonifies Lung-Qi.

  • L.I.-11 resolves Fire-Poison.
