b. Select cells A2:A3. Click the white text icon. Select the formula in B3.
Click the white text icon. If you wish, select the fraction in B2 and
change the font to 24 point using the font size dropdown.

c. Although row 1 and column A now appear to be blank, you can com-
pletely hide that row and column.
Select a cell in row 1. Select Format → Row → Hide from the menu.
Type the Down-Arrow to move to A2. Select Format → Column → Hide
to hide column A.

Making a Worksheet Not Look Like Excel..................................................................


Many of the elements that make the worksheet look like Excel can be hidden.
From the menu, select Tools → Options. You will typically start on the View
tab of the options menu. In the Window Options selection, uncheck Gridlines,
Row & column headers, Horizontal scroll bar, Vertical scroll bar, and Sheet
tabs. Click OK to dismiss the dialog. These settings will only apply to the
selected worksheet. They will not affect other workbooks that you might open.
