b. Use the Rectangle drawing tool to draw a rectangle from J:1-M2 (tem-

porarily covering The Popcorn Box Problem title block). Notice how the

rectangle “snaps” into the correct size and position?

c. Select the Rectangle icon again and draw a small rectangle starting one

row under the title block. Right-click and select Format AutoShape.

Under size, set the Height to 2” and the Width to 2.51”. Press Enter.

d. Click in a blank cell. Now click on the rectangle covering the title block,

hold down the Shift key, and then click on the rectangle below it. In the

Draw drop-down menu, select Align or Distribute → Align Center. The

“sheet of paper” rectangle centers itself on the “title block” rectangle.

Click in a blank cell, click on the title block rectangle, and press the De-

lete key.

e. Draw a rectangle inside the remaining (“sheet of paper”) rectangle and

right-click. Select Format AutoShape; under Size, set the Height to

1.39” and the Width to 1.9”. Under Colors and Lines, set the Line color

to 50%. Press Enter.

f. With the smaller rectangle still selected, press the Shift key and then

click on the larger rectangle. In the Draw drop-down menu, select Align

or Distribute → Align Center and then select Align or Distribute →

Align Middle. Press Enter. The inner rectangle centers itself on the

outer rectangle.

g. Next you will draw the four corners. Click in a blank cell. Using the

Rectangle icon, draw a small rectangle off to the side. Right-click and

select Format AutoShape. Under size, set the Height and Width both to

0.3”. Under Colors and Lines, set the Fill color to 0.25%, the Line color

to 50%, and Dashed to the fourth line down (even dashes). Press Enter.

h. Press Ctrl+C to copy this small square. In the Draw drop-down menu,

select Snap → To Shape. Hover over the square and so that the cursor

becomes four outward-pointing arrows. Left-click and drag to the upper

left corner of the large rectangle. When the sides line up, release the left

mouse button.
