Forgive Your Husband's Mistakes


Everyone,exceptthosethatAllahhasdeclaredas"Infallible"makesmis-
takes. When two people, who love together, andcooperage with each
other,makemistakes,theymustbeforgiving,iftheydonotforgiveeach
other,thentheirmarriagewill cometoan end.Twobusinesspartners,
twoneighbours,twocolleagues,twofriendsandspecifically,ahusband
andawifeneedtobeabletoforgiveeachother.Ifthemembersofafam-
ily are unforgiving and pursue each other's mistakes, then either the
family will separate or they will experience an unbearable life.


DearMadam!Yourhusbandprobablymakesmistakes.Hemayinsult
you,abuseyou,telllies,hemightevenhityou.Suchactsmightbecom-
mittedbyanyman.Ifyourhusbandaftermakingamistake,regretsitor
youfeelheisregretfulhimselfforhismisconduct,thenforgivehimand
donotpursue thematter. Ifheisregretfulbutnotpreparedtoexpress
hisapologies,thendonottrytoprovehismistake.Otherwise,hemight
feelhumiliatedandhemay retaliatebypicking outyourmistakes and
consequently start a major row.


Soitisbetterforyoutoremainsilentuntilhecondemnshimselffrom
hisconscienceandstartstofeelremorseaboutit.Hewouldthenregard
you as wise and devoted wife who is interested in her husband and
family.


TheProphet(SA)ofAllahstated:'Abadwomandoesnotforgiveher
husband's mistake and does not accept his apology'."


Isit not pitiful that a sacred maritalcovenant should be brokenbe-
cause a woman is not prepared to forgive some mistakes of her
husband?
