He rose from the dead on the third day.ìAnd that he was buried, and that he rose again on the third day

He is and always has been God.ìIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.î John 1:1
And it is only through Him that man can have eternal life.ìJesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me.î John 14:6
Those that belong to God through Jesus Christ are to have the same distinction
between themselves and the world that the Israelites in the land of Goshen had
(see Chapter 33).
The New Testament makes this plain.
ìNow we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit
which is of GodÖî 1 Corinthians 2:12
ìAnd be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect will of God.î
Romans 12:2 (emphasis mine)
Compromising with the truth and tolerating idols is darkness. It is choosing to be
a friend of the spirit of the world.
ìAnd have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove them.î Ephesians 5:11
ìYe adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship
of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a
friend of the world is the enemy of God.î James 4:4
