OTHER BOOTIE
Make a second bootie just like the first.
FINISHING
1 Turn bootie inside out and weave in ends, except the one that can be used to
sew the back seam.
2 Turn back to RS and use B to work embroidery around edge of St st part of
booties, if desired.
3 Sew back seam and weave in end.
4 Make two 1^1 ⁄ 4 -inchtight pompoms in B (see page 180). Sew each pompom to
back of bootie.
5 Make chain by cutting two 120-inchstrands of B. Using both strands together,
make a slip knot about 5 inches from one end and work a crochet chain (see
page 192) until it is 18 inches long. Cut yarn, leaving a 5-inchtail.
6 Thread chain tails through a tapestry needle, bring ends back up into the chain to conceal them, and cut yarn.
7 Rep steps 5 and 6 for the other bootie.
8 Weave chains in and out of eyelets at ankle so that the ends come out toward the front. Tie each in a bow.
