Puta smallstoveinthecenterofthetable.
Ontop of it placeapan of boilingprimary
soup. Cut into thin pieces 6 pounds of any


foodatall—suchaspike,chickenmeat,shrimp,

beef,flatfish,etc. Thisfoodisuncooked.
Placeonepieceofitintheboilingprimary
soupfor 2 minutes,usingaforkorachop-stick
topickitup with. Keepmoving.
Now put itinto abowlcontaining 1 well-
beatenegg,^1 tablespoonful ofChinese sauce,
14 teaspoonfulofoil,andafewdropsofsesa-
mum-seed oil. It is now ready toeat. One
bowlofthiseggshouldbeservedtoeachper-
son.
Two forksortwo pairs ofchop-sticks are
requiredforeachperson,oneusedforputting
themeatintothepan,theotherforeating.
