Let God Talk to You
God wants to talk to you. He desires to spend time with you,
not just occasionally or when it is convenient, but every day of
your life. Whatever the reason you picked up this book, God
knew it would encourage you to develop your own personal,
conversational relationship with Him and find within those
conversations what I have found:
a safe oasis if you’re wounded, rejected, or hurting;
a trustworthy accountability partner;
a counselor who knows you intimately;
an honest, forgiving, and holy God, whose wisdom and love you
can depend upon.
Let God Talk to You
Put DOWN this book and decide the time and place you will
meet with God today. Don’t worry about next week, or next
month, or the “what ifs.” Just plan the “when and how” you
will talk and listen to God before this day ends. And if you
need a jump start, follow this pattern:
Find a quiet place. Take along paper, pen, and a Bible.
Intentionally turn yourself—heart, mind, and body—toward
God and away from your world and its worries. Begin your two-
way conversation in writing.
Tell God who He is to you—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—
