From at least the time when Buddhism was created
(around 2,500 years ago), Islam is the first and only world
religion which makes war and murder into acts of devotion:
it is through dying in a war for Islam that Muslims have the
certainty of being rewarded within the framework of their
beliefs. Killing to get an eternity in Paradise might seem
stupid to atheists (obsessed with seeking pleasure in the here
and now), but to those who believe in “the after life”, giving
up the pleasures of this short life for an eternity of pleasure
might seem like the most rational decision in the world. If
Islamic doctrine was such that those Muslims who died
killing for Islam were guaranteed to go to Hell, then it might
be reasonable to say that Muslim suicide bombers were
insane. But since Islam says that dying in the process of
killing for Islam is the only guaranteed way a Muslim is
getting to Heaven, then Islam gives Muslims the best reason
in the world to kill other people. It is this doctrine which our
elite should be discussing most urgently with the citizens.
